AKB48 will hold their 3rd general elections this June 2011...

AKB48 will soon hold their 3rd general elections for the new senbatsu members. This is indeed exciting. I am excited to know the new list of AKB48. I bet Yokoyama Yui will be part of it because lately, she has been given lots of attention.
In 2009, the first general election held and as we all know, Maeda Atsuko won. In 2010, Yuko Ooshima got the spotlight. If I can choose, I still want Yuko Ooshima. Well, let's just wait for the results.

Horipro street donation

Sakakibara Ikue (51) and Satomi Ishihara (24) from the entertainment firm, Horipro, held fundraising activities for victims of earthquake.

Sakakibara responded pleasantly to photo shoot, or shake hands with the people who has donated.

AKB48 donated 600 million yen for disaster relief

The earthquake and the tsunami that lately happened there in Japan is really heart-breaking. Will Japan be able to stand up again from this bitter incident? I really wish the best for Japan. May they be able to stand up again from this nightmare.
I am greatly delighted with the fact that Japanese people still continued to remain calm. They continued to strive to remain strong, not just for themselves but also for other people, especially their families.
I was also overwhelmed that they are really helping each other to be able to surpass this happening in their lives. AKB48 and many more artists donated a big amount of money and help for their affected brothers and sisters.
After having their mini-live that day, the members, specifically, the senbatsu members talked about their fundraising. The members of AKB48 have donated a total of 600 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross
